Commissioning contemporary artwork is a personal experience. An original canvas, landscape, abstract or figurative is an individual statement about lifestyle and taste.

A unique painting creates both an atmospheric mood and visual impact.

I paint using a variety of different media, such as oils, acrylics, pastels and inks. An important characteristic of my work is the texture that I create on each canvas. My aim is to produce a canvas with both visual and tactile impact such that people want to reach out and touch the painting. I achieve this effect by working in other materials into the paint, such as sand, and also by layering paint and using thickening agents in the mix to give different effects. Sometimes I even use gold leaf to create a specific look and feel to a painting. The images on the site cannot really do justice to the real life canvases I paint but I hope they give you some idea of the type of work that I like to create.

Please do explore the different areas of this site and if you would like to talk to me about commissioning an individual, original yet affordable work of art, whether it be a landscape, a portrait or an abstract, please do get in touch via the contact page and I will be happy to discuss that with you.
